Overview of endurance training methods
Steady Effort
Training method primarily for improving basic endurance or aerobic and long-term endurance capacity.
The endurance method is characterized by the fact that the load is controlled steadily and without a break.
Fartlek
The speed is adjusted by changing the speed of the athlete according to the situation (subjective condition, terrain). The distances and the intensity of the load can be freely chosen, depending on the specifications.
Interval method
Training method for improving endurance, which is characterized by systematic alternation of load and recovery. The interval method is characterized by the fact that the workload is interrupted by breaks (at a relaxed intensity).
Repetitions
In this repetitive method, a distance is usually repeated several times, with the load break being chosen in such a way that recovery is usually complete. A sub-distance is usually run in order to complete it at competition speed or faster.
Repetitions
In this repetitive method, a distance is typically repeated numerous times, with the load break being chosen in such a way that recovery is complete. A sub-distance is usually run in order to complete it at competition speed or faster.
