How to integrate sports into your everyday routine

  1. Plan fixed training sessions: Fixed goals require a structured training plan. Put fixed workouts into your workday and consider them non-negotiable. Block regular times for your workouts in your calendar and stick to them as if they were your workouts.

    Use work breaks effectively: do short workouts. For example, you could do a quick run or a bike ride, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts are short but extremely effective.
  3. Shorten the distances to the trainings facilities: find possible training locations nearby your workplace. For example, a gym or swimming pool. You could work out before, after work, or even during your lunch break.
  4. Commute by bike: If you have the option to commute to work by bike, this can be a great way to incorporate endurance exercise into your workday.
  5. Use virtual training options: You could use virtual platforms. Cycling, running, or fitness programs can be done this way during your lunch break. There are good fitness apps with excellent programs, too.
  6. Arrange sports activities with colleagues and friends: Planning together is fun and encouraging.
  7. Use home office for short or long training sessions.


Integrating endurance sports into your workday requires planning and organization skills. Be realistic. Find the right balance between work, sports and private life and optimize your plan repeatedly.
